Jedediah Berry is a writer, editor, and game designer based in Western Massachusetts. His new novel, The Naming Song, will be published by Tor Books in September. His first, The Manual of Detection, won the Crawford Award and the Hammett Prize, and was adapted for broadcast by BBC Radio 4. His short stories have appeared in journals including Conjunctions and Chicago Review, and online at Reactor. He is the author of numerous works of interactive fiction, including The Family Arcana, a story in cards. With Andrew McAlpine, he has written and designed several games, as well as a tabletop RPG setting, The Valley of Flowers. With his wife, writer Emily R.
